David attended Columbia International University, a graduate school of mission in South Carolina to read a Master degree in Teaching English as Foreign Language and Inter-cultural Studies. While in the States, God gave him a vision on Cambodia. He faithfully conducted research on the country and in summer of 1999 he mobilized a multi-cultural team from the university to Cambodia in order to serve and to experiment ministry strategies

In year 2000, David was appointed to be the Country Director of Christian Nationalsí Evangelism Commission in Cambodia.
